about the social club

Townsend Gardens offers residents a strong sense of community living.  The community activity centre is a place to have a chat with friends, relax in the lounge or participate in any number of regular social nights organized by the Social Committee.

The Social Committee is elected by residents and endeavors to ensure everyone feels part of the Townsend Gardens community.  The Committee meets on a regular basis to add variety to the community by coordinating weekly activities.  Residents are free to choose their individual level of participation, both inside and outside the village.

There is a continuous cup of tea going in the community room for all.  This is very popular after activities.  The social club aslo hires buses and go on trips around Geelong and further afield.
